I like this app in the beginning until they came across a demeaning part of it. The part demoralise you as a person and make you feel judged and inferior for being a smoker. The act of smoking is a bad habit and has nothing to do with you being less of a person than a non smoker. That part of the app enables you to feel bad to quit, which I highly discourage.

Gentle

I really like the gentle voice and background sounds. I do wish I could advance to certain parts. Most importantly I am smoke free!!

6 Days Smoke Free!

In 30 years I have had more failed quit attempts than I can count! This worked even with only a few sessions. I even fell asleep every time! I know Ill never smoke again:)

Good start

Im off to a good start. The ladys voice is kind and soft.

Its definitely helping...

Im on day six and my smoking has reduced by half. I fall asleep every time but I do 2-3 repeats. I believe this stuff works in the subconscious even when sleeping. She really does have the best voice ever!

Not helpful

After sitting through about 10 minutes of a woman reading off all the instructions and info about the app, the actual hypnotherapy begins. Im relatively receptive to hypnotherapy and I found this recording lackluster and not helpful. If you are a heavy smoker this might help you. I downloaded this hoping to get some tips on staying positive and anti-smoking all the time but it was mostly just a guided visualization. All of the useful and cool features you have to pay for. Without paying $2.99 you would have to listen to that long intro and not have the benefits of binaural beats for the 30 recommended days of daily listening. They should have included at least one or two free features that make the app useable. Would not recommend. I only gave it two stars because one star is too mean.

Just what I need

I love these apps--test he paid versions are the way to go--but the price is right. I use several of them just to let me enter that zone of deep relaxation. A great app.

Trying Again

I have tried everything to quit smoking. There are much more resources out there now and this app is one of them. I do it at night because the day is full of stress from trying to stay smoke free. This app helps me relax and for thirty minutes takes me to another place. My breathing slows down when I focus on a quite calming voice and appropriate music. I would rate it a five star but I will have to see if it really helps me quit. If I had to give one good quality it would be it removes the stress of taking on the task of quitting!

Each and every time you open the app to listen the session is the same AND it always asks yo if youre ready to be a non-smoker. Sounds simple enough but it gets terribly annoying. Plus they use visualization to attempt to bring you into a hypnotic state and they chose an elevator. I personally dislike elevators so that was obviously not the best choice for me! I was assuming there would be other sessions to listen to with the paid $$ version. Im disappointed. Had Id known or listened to a sample of the recording first I wouldnt have purchased this app. Wouldnt recommend it.

Good app

I downloaded this app a few months ago, but I had a hard time listening to it everyday like they tell you to. Since the new year I have been more committed to it, and I have seen smoke free for 8 days, cold turkey. I did shell out for the paid version a few days ago, I couldnt stand listening to the instructions every time. I dont think its a magical cure, but if you really want to quit its worth a try!

It Worked

First, let me say I really wanted to quit and was ready to give it all I had. I wanted to use this app as support NOT as some automatic gimmick. If your expectation is find assistance and youre ready to take control of your life again, you may be pleasantly surprised. I listened to it every night as I went to sleep, I did not use headphones. The app brilliantly shuts itself off when complete. I honestly felt it helped me tremendously. I experienced less cravings with less intensity than previous attempts. When I thought about smoking I quickly put it out of my mind. I attribute some of my increased willpower to using this app. Bonus, its free! Adding it to your overall cessation strategy may help you be more successful. Good luck!

Tried a similar app to help me quit but I like this one much more. It really helps my resolve. Nice features and background music & sound options.

Lots of combinations !

Love the fact that you have lots of combinations of her voice and background sounds and that you can turn one up or down to whatever point you want. I wouldve rated it five stars but I wish you could repeat it more times than three without having to have it Loop continuously so you could set it closer to the time that you would wake up in the morning. Other than that awesome!

I find this app very appealing and look forward to it as part of nigh bedtime routine. I have found that I am sleeping more sound as well. I can not measure how well its keeping me from smoking but I am still not smoking 2 weeks in and dont want to. I found today that the app really helped me when I was suffering from nicotine withdrawal anger! I couldnt shake it so I payed down and played the app. I woke up two hours later, very peaceful.
